National Association of Black Journalist

The National Association of Black Journalist is an organization that has been around since 1975 as a National chapter. Every state usually has a professional chapter and a student chapter. Minnesota had a professional chapter, but no student chapter. Rebecca David and I  found out about the circumstances this summer while attending the organizations annual summer conference. Post finding this out we were exciting about possibly being able to pioneer a student chapter on campus. I am honored to announce that NABJ is an official student chapter in Minnesota and to be exact St. Cloud State University. Although this organization is new and still progressing I feel as though this will allow ethnic students pursuing a career in Journalism another outlet amongst all those availble to mass communication students. Attached is a photo the President, Rebecca David and I took with CNN Atlanta’s  Rick Martin.IMG_9841
